We get Odisha’s Balasore train accident sad news on 2nd June 2023 appoximately at 7:20 pm. The three train collide with each other in this disaster train accident, namely 12841 Coromandel Express , 12864 SMVT Bengaluru–Howrah Superfast Express and Goods Train.
SMVT Begaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, 12864 first derail from track and then collide with coming train Coromandal Express, 12841. After sometime, Coromandal Express, 12841 collide with Goods Train and suddenly its taken a picture of a havoc accident happened on the Howrah–Chennai main line near Bahanaga Bazar railway station in Balasore district in the eastern state of Odisha. According to the news, atleast 288 peoples were killed and appox. more than 900 peoples were injured. The injured peoples were taken to the nearest hospital for their immediate cure. As per the government announcement, Rs. 10 lakhs will be given to dead people’s families as a compensation amount.

Actions Taken By Govt after Accident
The Indian Railways and the governments of Odisha and West Bengal issued helpline numbers. According to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Pradeep Jena, three National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) units, four Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) units, more than 15 fire rescue teams, 100 doctors, 200 police personnel and 200 ambulances were mobilized for the rescue operations. It was reported that four other NDRF teams were on the way to the accident site. Local bus companies assisted in transporting injured passengers.
The railways announced compensation of ₹10 lakh for families of the deceased and ₹2 lakh for the severely injured and ₹50,000 for those with minor injuries. Other than that, compensation of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 to the injured.
